Why locations come before services

Every service in Carepatron has to be available at one or more locations. If you set up services first, you'll have to come back and assign locations anyway. Five minutes to add your locations now saves you that round trip.

Add a physical location

Settings → Scheduling → Locations → + New location. Choose a physical-address location type, enter a Display name (what clients see, e.g. 'Brunswick Practice'), then the street address. Physical locations carry an address clients can use when finding the appointment.

Add a virtual location

From the same screen, choose the type that matches the platform: Carepatron Telehealth (built-in, no link needed; leave the link field blank), Zoom (paste your Personal Room Invite Link from zoom.us → Meetings → Personal Room), Google Meet (create a meeting for later at meet.google.com, copy the link), Doxy.me, Microsoft Teams, or Phone. Carepatron Telehealth is the simplest path, no third-party account needed.

Default location and client addresses

For home visits, you can pull a client's saved home address straight into the location field at booking time, useful if you're a mobile practitioner or run home visits. Make sure the client's address is saved on their profile first.

Worth setting up

Five location setups that cover most practices.

Pick the row that matches yours and copy the pattern.

Solo therapist, hybrid

One physical (clinic address) + one Carepatron Telehealth room.

Group practice, multi-site

One physical location per consulting room or site.

Fully virtual coach

Carepatron Telehealth as the main option + Zoom as backup for clients who prefer it.

Mobile physio

One physical location for the clinic, plus client home addresses for home visits.

GP using Google Meet

Carepatron Telehealth for clinical sessions + Google Meet for non-clinical admin calls.

Common questions
What location types can I add?

Physical, Carepatron Telehealth, Zoom, Google Meet, Doxy.me, Microsoft Teams, Phone, or other virtual.

Do I need a physical address if I'm 100% virtual?

No, skip the physical type entirely and use virtual locations only. Telehealth-only practices don't need an address on file.

Do I need a link for Carepatron Telehealth?

No, the link field can be left blank when creating a Carepatron Telehealth location.

How do I connect Zoom?

Copy your Personal Room Invite Link from zoom.us → Meetings → Personal Room, then paste it into the Zoom location's link field. You can also connect Zoom under Settings → My Profile → Connected apps.

Can clients see their home address as the appointment location?

Yes, if the address is saved on the client's profile, it appears in the location dropdown when booking a physical visit. Useful for mobile or home-visit practitioners.

Can I have multiple physical sites for a group practice?

Yes, add one location per site. You can also set which team members work where in their availability settings (Lesson 1.5).

Can team members have different default locations?

Each team member's locations are configured under their team profile in Your team.
