Take the tour
A short orientation pass. Where things live, what each area is for, and what to set up first, so the rest of these lessons make sense in context.
Why the order matters
Carepatron is wide, calendar, clients, notes, billing, telehealth, insurance, workflows. If you set things up in the wrong order, you'll bump into 'pick a service' or 'choose a location' prompts before those exist. This course walks the order: branding → locations → services → team. Get those right and every later lesson has the right scaffolding underneath.
Your left sidebar
Everything you do every day lives in the left sidebar. Calendar for appointments, Clients for records and notes, Templates for forms and note templates, Inbox for messages with clients and team, Your team for team setup and availability. Billing appears once you've connected Stripe in Course 4. Insurance appears once you've turned it on (paid plans only; electronic claim filing is US-only). Telehealth is built in, you don't add it; it's available the moment you create a Carepatron Telehealth location.
Settings vs day-to-day work
Clean split. Day-to-day work (calendar, clients, notes, invoices) lives in the left sidebar. Configuration lives in Settings. Under Settings you'll find Workspace settings (branding, services, locations, online booking), My Profile (your details, theme, MFA, connected apps), and Billing (Stripe, invoice template, subscription). MFA is under My Profile → Details, strongly recommended for any healthcare account. If you're configuring the practice, you're in Settings. If you're doing client work, you're in the sidebar.
Logins, mobile, and the demo client
Three ways to log in: email + password (MFA optional), Google, or Apple. Login URL is app.carepatron.com/Login. Mobile apps live on iOS and Android, search 'Carepatron' in the App Store or Play Store. Same login. New workspaces ship with a sample team member called Wendy Smith, she's there so you can explore the platform before inviting real teammates. Remove her any time from your Team settings.
Five things worth doing in your first ten minutes.
Quick wins before you go any deeper. Each takes under a minute.
Settings → My Profile → Details → Multi-Factor Authentication. Healthcare data; treat it accordingly.
Grab the iOS or Android app. Calendar in your pocket means fewer 'what was I doing on Tuesday' moments.
Wendy Smith is the sample team member in every new workspace. Explore the platform with her before inviting real teammates, then remove her from Team settings.
Most configuration lives in Settings → Workspace settings → Details. Get familiar with the layout.
Lower-left of the app. Real humans on the other end, type a question and someone replies in the same thread.
Where do I get help inside the app?
There's a Help button at the lower-left of every page. Type a question and someone on the team will reply in the same chat thread.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, on iOS and Android. Search 'Carepatron' on the App Store or Play Store. Same login as the web app. Calendar, client records, and notes work fully on mobile; some Settings screens are easier on desktop.
What's the Wendy Smith account I see in my workspace?
A sample team member added to every new workspace so you can explore Carepatron before inviting real teammates. Remove her from your Team settings when you're done.
Can I use multi-factor authentication?
Yes. Settings → My Profile → Details → Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Available with email/password login. Strongly recommended for any account holding clinical records.
How do I log in with Google or Apple instead of a password?
From app.carepatron.com/Login, choose Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple and follow the prompts to authenticate.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
From the login page, choose Forgot password?, we'll email a reset link. If you signed up via Google or Apple, log in with that provider instead; there's no password to reset.
Can I share a workspace with my team?
Yes. Inviting your team is Lesson 1.5. Every team member uses their own login, with permissions set by the workspace owner.
